No prior experience needed—I’ll guide you step by step!
I can relate to my students very well and understand how it feels to learn something new—including the fear that comes with it. I used to be someone who was often afraid and learned everything step by step. That’s why I teach with patience and empathy. I prefer making slow and steady progress rather than rushing and taking risks. I love meeting new people, and often, the lessons turn into a real friendship.
Yes, I teach both children aged 7 and older, as well as adults of all ages.
I teach in German, English, and French. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I mainly teach in Flims, Laax, and Falera, but I’m available for lessons in other ski resorts upon request. Just contact me, and we’ll find a suitable arrangement!
You can book your lesson directly on my website or contact me to arrange the details.
I accept common payment methods such as cash, credit card, or bank transfer, and for Swiss clients, I also offer Twint.
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before the lesson begins free of charge.
Yes, the more hours, days, or people you book, the more affordable it gets (up to a certain limit). Contact me for personalized offers.
A helmet, goggles, gloves, something to drink if you like, and of course, a snowboard and snowboard boots.
As a beginner, if you haven’t learned to turn yet, we’ll be on the practice slope in the valley where no lift pass is required.
I don’t offer rental options, so it’s best to bring your own equipment. However, I can help by providing tips on where to rent gear.
Most people book 2–3 hours per session over several days. For beginners, I recommend at least 3 days with 3 hours per day or 4 days with 2 hours per day.
For beginners, we meet in the valley in front of the Piazza Cafedeli in Laax. For higher levels, we can meet on Crap Sogn Gion at the meeting point, or we can arrange a different location, such as a base station. Feel free to contact me for arrangements.
No, not with the right step-by-step approach.
It varies, but most people need about 6–10 hours. Some learn faster, while others may need a bit more time.
I keep the exercises as simple as possible and make sure the practice area is ideal for learning. I don’t rush through lessons and prefer to repeat exercises until you’re comfortable before moving on to the next step.
We simply take a step back and do an easier exercise that you’re already good at. This helps rebuild your confidence and ease your fears. Don’t worry, I’ve dealt with this many times, and we’ll get through it together.
Of course! I love being in the park and sharing my knowledge. I also follow a step-by-step approach to ensure your safety.
Yes, I do. Off-piste, however, is limited to small sections right next to the slopes.

Hi, I’m Daniel, a 36-year-old snowboard instructor with over a decade of experience helping people discover the joy of snowboarding. My passion for the sport goes beyond riding—I love the freedom of carving through pristine mountains, the thrill of tackling snowparks, and the adrenaline of mastering new tricks. Being surrounded by the beauty of snowy peaks with breathtaking views is a feeling I’ll never get tired of.
Eleven years ago, I started teaching snowboarding and instantly fell in love with the job. Every winter since, I’ve been on the slopes, refining my skills and working with students of all levels. As someone who understands the hesitation of trying something new, I’ve developed a step-by-step teaching approach that makes hard, painful falls a thing of the past. My goal is to help you build confidence, master the basics, and have fun while staying safe. For beginners, I’ve even designed a unique method where you don’t need a lift pass for your first two hours—saving you extra money while you gain the fundamentals.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy exploring nature in all its forms, whether snowboarding in the winter or enjoying the lakes and rivers during the summer. My appreciation for the environment also drives my commitment to sustainability—I even donate 1% of my earnings from lessons to nature conservation. Fun fact: I’m vegan, and I believe in living a lifestyle that’s kind to animals and the planet.
I work with everyone from first-timers to freestyle enthusiasts looking to conquer the snowpark. I’m particularly strong with beginners and freestyle beginners, and my greatest strength lies in teaching teenagers and adults. Whether you’re booking a private session or joining a group, I offer flexible packages where the more hours, days, or people you book, the more affordable it gets.
Join Me on the Slopes! Snowboarding is more than just a sport—it’s an adventure. Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to level up your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Join me for a fun and safe snowboarding experience, and I’ll help you fall in love with the sport—or, if you already love it, enjoy it even more!
